I’m delighted to share that EEE, from my album EEEOOOSSS (Soave / Cinedelic, Grandangolo° series, 2019), is part of Djrum’s new mix for the DJ-Kicks series, released by !K7 Records on 16 October 2026. The track appears twice on the digital and CD editions: on Disc 1 as EEE (Mixed), within Djrum’s continuous mix, and on Disc 2 as EEE (Original Version), in full.
Djrum (Felix Manuel) built a 33-track journey that deliberately avoids the logic of a standard club mix. He recorded it on vinyl and then collaged and overdubbed it, moving through ambient, breakcore, jazz, post-punk and field recording. The mix includes music by Chris Watson, Venetian Snares, Susumu Yokota, The Raincoats, Eli Keszler, upsammy and emptyset, exclusive tracks by Skee Mask and Clark, and four new Djrum originals. In its review, DJ Mag mentions EEE among the mix’s memorable moments.
About EEE
EEEOOOSSS is music in three tuning systems, written for samples of three instruments:
- electric guitar (e-bow), played by Alessandra Novaga, tuned in twelve true fifths;
- bass clarinet, played by Edgardo Barlassina, in the hypodorian aulos tuning;
- cello, played by me, in just intonation.
The album was recorded live by Mirco Mencacci at SAM Studio in Lari (Pisa). It is a joy to hear EEE travel into a new context, among artists I deeply admire.
