Finally, we did it.
No dubt it was for me one of the most adventurous and challenging music perfomance ever.
For more than two and a half hours, for 45′ minutes each, Elio, Alessandra, Elena and me performed the sonorous lecture of John Cage’s Empty Words.
In a little and cozy room full of pillows and carpets, with the collaborative help of the (loving and quite) people in attendance, we let pure mouth sounds go around us.
Cage performed Empty Words at Teatro Lirico, in Milano, 1977. That was a period of time when people loved to think politically about almost everything. Even a performance of new music must had a political mission… So…: they didn’t listen at those sounds.
We’d love we were there.
