I knew from the start that I wanted the piece to be experienced spacially, with the audience in the middle of an ideal six-point star, the performers facing the center. So when it came the time for recording, I planned it to reproduce this configuration. The same session we cut for the vinyl was also recorded using a Decca tree with two rear mics, so to have a 5.1 mic placement. This release takes the audience straight into the big hall of the studio A, at the Officine Meccaniche Recording Studios in Milan, 8th March 2016.
A limited editions Blu Ray is printed and out on the 28th March 2018. will contain the full 5.1 recording version of the piece, plus the video work “synchronized and non-synchronized exercises of arrhythmic empathy ” by Rebecca Salvadori.
